The Augustinians bell tower
The Augustinians bell tower is one of the few vestiges of the former Augustinian convent. Built in the 14th century and characteristic of "Avignon Gothic", it is slightly leaning, victim of an earthquake in 1909. In 1497, a clock was placed in the tower, and since then it has set the pace of life in the district.
The Carmes district
The Carmes district takes its name from the Carmelite convent built in the 13th century, whose cloister and church still dominate the square. It is a lively and lively square where the “old iron market” once stood and which today hosts a food market on Saturdays and a flea market on Sundays.
